Searching for information on John and Elizabeth Parks. They were born in PA in 1795 and 1798. They moved to Hocking County, Ohio circa 1820. Their 8 children were born there, Perry, Samson, Jesse, Susan, Amos, Elizabeth, John and Jacob. They moved to Fayette Co., IL circa 1852.
Their sons, Amos Lee Parks and Jacob Parks joined Co. B 40 IL Infantry in Kinmundy, IL 07-25-1861. Amos Lee Parks died from a head wound received in action near Atlanta, GA 07-25-1864. Jacob Parks died 02-21-1863 of chronic diarrhea.
