Thanks Dick,
There just may be something to this information you sent. I think I have been told that my aunt La Fern (my mother's younger sister and the second daughter of Jesse's before he left the family) was born in St. Louis.
I'm trying to go through everything I have to see if I have any record of that, or if it is just something I've been told.
If my aunt was born in St Louis before the family split up, it could be that Jesse stayed in Missouri while my grandmother returned to Centralia Illinois where her family lived.
