Looking for descendants ofPhilip Jefferson Russell son of Philip Russell b. 1765 in Lunenburg Co. Va. married to Elizabeth Stewart, b. 1771, Lunenburg Co. Va.
Philip Jefferson was one of several children. He was born in Montgomery Co. Tennessee in the year 1810, Nov. 15. His oldest sister, Martha P.Weeks Russell, b.1796 was the only one born in Pittslyvania Co. Va. His other bro. and sis. were: Samuel Talley,James Stewart,Nancy,and William.
Philip Jefferson married Rebecca Tyner b. 1818 in Oct. 1831 in Franklin County, Illinois. They had several children-all born in Franklin County, Ill.
Children:Harriet, George, Elizabeth, Nancy, Martha, Rebecca, Winfield, Mary Ann, John Randolph, Thomas Jefferson, Louella C, Hope C, and Winifred.
