I am searching for information on Elizabeth Trammel, who was born abt. 1811 in Tennessee, and Jason Fisher, who was born in either South Carolina or Tennessee. Elizabeth married Jason, most likely in Tennessee, and then moved to Illinois about 1839. There is an Illinois Public Land Purchase Record for a Jason Castle Fisher for land in Denning Twp., Franklin Co, Ill on October 15, 1849 that might possibly be the right Jason Fisher. Jason appears to have died before the 1860 census, but I have been unable to locate this family on the 1850 census. Their youngest child was born in Feb. of 1851 in Illinois, so believe he must have been alive for the 1850 census. Elizabeth is listed on the 1860 census living in Franklin County, Illinois with several of her children: Jason, Elizabeth, Henry, James, Nancy, and Paradine. Believe she might have had older children as well: William and Thomas who also resided in Franklin Co., but have not definitely proved this as yet. Any information that anyone has on any of these individuals would be most appreciated!
