Hi Sheila...once again, I can't thank you enough for looking this up for me. The dates for George Lunsford are the same as the dates I have for his birth and death. But I only had old family stories to confirm he died in IL. However, I have Mary Rebecca being born in 1841. Also, I have census records for 1900 showing William and Mary and Minnie all living together in Franklin County. Moreover, I have a 1910 census with William and Mary living with another son, Thomas, in Franklin County, IL. I have a death record for William showing he died in 1924. I can't imagine the cemetery records you have are for a different couple...that would seem too far-fetched. The death certificate indeed names Thurmond cemetery as the place of burial. I will keep digging for more information! Thanks again for your help! pfh
