G'Day,
I am researching the DORSEY/DAWSEY family of Gallatin County.
Frederick CRENSHAW and Mary Ann DORSEY were married in Shawneetown on 11 December 1831. I am trying to establish her parents and the likeliest candidates are John G DAWSEY and Mary [Unknown]. John G DAWSEY is on the 1820 Federal Census for Gallatin county, but disappears in the 1830 Federal Census, with a Mary DORSEY appearing for the first time.
I'm sure that one time I was searching in an 1825 Illinois State Census, but at that time I had no knowledge of any DORSEY/DAWSEY connections.
If anyone who has access to an 1825 Illinois Census would be kind enough to look up any DAWSEY/DORSEY information and pass it along, I for one would be most grateful.
