I am trying to locate documentation that Mary McGehee who married Thomas Toberry/Tovrea on 05 Jan 1815 in Gallatin County was the daughter of William McGehee/McGhee/McGee. The marriage records at the County Clerks office in Shawneetown only show the date of the marriage and nothing else. The McGee and Tovreas lived in that part of Gallatin County that became White County and they are listed on the 1818 Territorial Census and 1820 IL State Census as living in White County. Anyone know if there are any records in the State ARchives regarding the marriages in Gallatin?
