I am a descendent of the LEFLER family of Franklin County, Illinois. I believe Isaac Newton MATLOCK married Elizabeth LEFLER, daughter of Thomas and Pricilla (STEWART) LEFLER.
My grandmother, Iva LEFLER, told me that Thomas and his brother George (my GGGrandfather) came from Germany during the 1830's. Thomas was killed during the Civil War and I have some of his pension papers if you are interested. Any information you can share about Isaac and Elizabeth and their children would be most welcome.
