Hi Marsha, Here is another possibility for a son of Redman Perry.

Edmond Perry
b. 1819/1820 Ky or Il
d. Jan 1850 Mcleansboro, Hamilton, IL of Fever
(U.S. Mortality Census)

Married Lutitia Little 5/13/1839 Hamilton, IL

They had a daughter named Winnefred and thought this might be a clue since Redman's daughter who married Hugh Snelling was named Winnifred. Edmond is listed on the 1840 Census with a wife and 1 child under 5. The child must have been an infant since they were just married.

1850 Saline, IL 1860 Saline, IL 1860 Hamilton, IL
Leticia 27 IL Letitia 30 IL Lutecia 35 IL
John T. 5 IL John 14 IL John 15 IL
Winnifred 3 IL Louisiana 12 MO Lizzie A. 12 IL
James E. 6/12 James 10 MO James E. 9 IL

Lutitia is listed in Saline and Hamilton Illinois on the 1860 Census. I did not find Lutitia or Winnefred/Louisiana after 1860. In 1870, John and James are in Izard Co, Arkansas in the same household. They were both just married. (I will e-mai you the rest of what I have on those families & there is more on the rootsweb family trees that I have not entered in my tree). I don't know where/when either John or James died.
