Pat,

I haven't had time to check on the mother's name but I had a light bulb go on in my head. Have you looked at the Illinois State Archives website? They have the marriage of Julia and William in their index. I noticed on several of the marriages that if a woman had been married before they listed her as (Mrs). Your Julia is not listed this way so that would lead me to believe Worden is her maiden name. This website also tells how to order copies of the marriage record which might tell you her parents names. I think this research is done by grad students and cost very little if anything. It would be worth checking into. I also saw a post you had on the Henderson family message board and you included the surname Clayton. My Samuel Worden Henderson (Jr) was first married to an Amy Clayton but I don't have my notes so I don't know where she was from. I will have to do some digging.

Good luck with the marriage record.

Pam
