Pat,

To find the Illinois Archives website I usually just do a search of Illinois Archives but I think this is the actual address: http://www.sos.state.il.us/departments/archives/archives.html.

Once in the website you can search the different databases. Missouri has a similar site with actual images of death certificates from 1910-1930 and 1950-1955 with instructions on getting copies of the ones from 1931-1949. They add a new year or two every couple of weeks so I am just waiting it out until they have the ones I need online.

You might want to look at the 1860 census for Henderson County Illinois. There are Hendersons, Shooks and Claytons all living next to each other. The ones I found are in Township 10N-4W. Biggsville Post Office. I had to browse the county as my Henderson's did not show up in my search.
