Thanks to the help of a wonderful volunteer in the Warren Co., IL. genealogical room in their library, we finally found Emma's maiden name.

Emma Wright was born April 15, 1896 in Stronghurst, Henderson Co., IL. Her parents were:

William Wright (born in Pennsylvania)
and his wife, Jennie Cooksey (born in Ohio)

Emma had an older sister, Ethel.

Mrs. Gridley was a wonderful teacher, who nutured many young children.
