Mary Jane (Roerty) married Henry M. Davis in Shelby Co., IN 1841. They had five children all born in Indiana; Oliver P. 1844, Emeline,1847, Charlotte, 1848, William 1850 (died in infancy) & Elbridge 1851. By 1860 they were in Burns, Henry Co., IL. Henry is buried in Cosner Corner Cemetary. Mary Jane and her children appear in 1860 census in Burns. Oliver and Emeline are not there in 1870. Mary Jane with Charlotte and Elbridge live in Burns. In 1880 Mary Jane is not there but Charlotte and Elbridge are single living together still in Burns. In 1900 & 1910 they are still living together but it is listed as Kewanee, Henry Co., IL. I did not find them in 1920 but in Illinois Death Records I found Elbridge died 8/8/1923. I did not find Charlotte anywhere.

What I am looking for is a second marriage or death date for Mary Jane Davis probably between 1870-1880. Marriages or death dates for Oliver P. and Emeline between 1860-1870. Death date for Charlotte, after 1910.

One last clue..Mary Jane Davis was named guardian of her children after Henry's death. Richard Mascall was also named in the Guardian Bond. He apparently put up the $150. for the bond. I don't know if he was involved in any way other than the money.
