THIS NOTICE WAS IN THE REPUBLICAN-ERA- PAPER IN JACKSON COUNTY, ILLINOIS. PUBLICATION NOTICE STATE OF ILLINOIS County of Jackson ss. In the County Court of Jackson County In the matter of the application to have a female child, the name of whom is unknown, aged about five years, who was left with Mrs. Penrod, at Du Quoin, Ill. about 30 months ago, by a woman who is supposed to be her mother, and who bought a ticket at Du Quoin to Pinckneyville the day she deserted the child and has never been heard of since; said child now being in the custody of Mrs. Poebe Foster, at Hallidayboro, Ill., declared to be a dependent child, etc. To All Who It May Concern: - Take notice that on the 12th day of August A.D. 1908, a petition was filed by Otis F. Glenn, in the county court of Jackson county, held in the court house in Murphysboro, Illinois to have a certain child, the name of which is unknown to petitioner and which said child is above referred to and described, declared to be a dependent child and to take from you the custody and guardinship of said child and give said child out for adoption. Now unless you appear within twenty days after the date of this notice and show cause against such application the petition shall be taken for confessed and decree entered. The hearing of said case is set for the 7th day of September A.D. 1908. Dated this 13th day of August A.D. 1908.
