From the 1910 Elk, Jackson Co., IL census: Name Age Martha Renho 43 David Boyd 16 James Forrester 43 Vinas Brown 26 The above info is from the transcribed data. I looked at the film and the some of the info is extremely faint, but I believe it is actually written Martha RENFRO, widowed head of household. Forrester is a "boarder" and Brown is a "servant." David is listed as "foster son." If this is the same David, wonder what the circumstances for him to become a foster child. I only have temporary access to the census records and Boyd is one of my family names. However, mine are all in Alabama and descendants of Robert Boyd, Vet of War of 1812, who settled in Tuscaloosa Co., AL ca1830 with his son-in-law James Newell. My folks came from North Carolina in early 1800s. I have no connection to these folks. Notify Administrator about this message?
