The 1870 Jackson Co., Il has several Penrod families living next to each other. One is James Penrod & wife ?Josephine. In the household is a Mary Foster age 19. Can any one explain the relationship. She is apparently too old if her age is correct to be daughter of James & wife.

A Mary Ann Foster married 19 June 1872 to JOhn Wesley Corgan in Jackson Co.IL but by census records she was born about 1857 in IL.

Is this the same woman? If so is Foster her married name? And if so what was her maiden name and her parents?
