I think maybe I wasn't totally clear in my reply. I sometimes ramble on too much. For one thing I wasn't clear on William Foster the older's death date. He died January 16, 1861. I don't have a marriage date for him and Julia Ann,But I think the marriage had to be after the 1850 census. Julia Ann is living with her father Cyrus Butler in the 1850 census for Jackson Co. She is 11. Cyrus is the administer of William Foster's estate when he died. Which is where I got the date of death for William Foster. It lists his widow, Julia Ann Foster and Mary Ann Foster and William Clinton Foster as heirs to the estate. I always assumed that Mary was his daughter. But your right that Julieanne had her at a very young age. So was she a step daughter or maybe a sister to William Foster the older? I haven't figured out who the parents of William Foster (the older) are yet. If I could find more info on him I could probably figure out if Mary was his daughter or sister. But at least you now know the connection of Mary Foster to the Penrods. I also wasn't very clear in my first reply on which William was William Clinton. The younger William Foster is William Clinton Foster. Although I did just notice that William Foster the older's middle initial is "C" on his probate record. I hope I was clearer this time. I have more information on William Foster the older's descendants if you are researching the Fosters. There are quite a few Fosters which makes this stuff confusing. It's hard to decipher which Foster's belong to this family or some other family. But hey at least their name is not Smith!! hahahaha! But that's what makes genealogy soo fun.
