Hello,
I was hoping someone could look and see if there is an obituary in the local newspaper for James Guthrie, b. 16 Mar 1801 and d. 13 Sep 1874 in (probably) Jefferson Co., IL. He is buried at New Hope Cemetery.
His third wife's name was Sarah Jane (Huff) Guthrie, whom he married on 9 March 1850 in Highland Co., Ohio. Besides the six children he had by her (all of whom were living in Jefferson Co., Illinois, in the 1880 census), there were another six kids by his first two wives, five of whom were still living back in Ohio and one which was in Kansas...
