Thanks for the reply. William R. Hodge and Amy Downey are my ggggrandparents. My gggrandparents are William Hodge and Amanda Elkins. My ggrandparents are Charlie Betts and Sharlie Ann Hodge. I am sure they are all buried in the Simpson Cemetery, Charlie and Sharlie have headstones in good repair the last time I saw them, but the others are most likely gone. I have not found any information on Amanda Hodge's date of death other than she was dead before 1900. My grandmother was Vada Betts Whittenberg and my mother is Marian Whittenberg Roberts. My mother is still living. She told me about meeting Mary Pearce when she was a child. She came to visit my grandparents in Carbondale and was quite impressed by the indoor plumbing!
