C.L. Walker died at 12:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, of dropsy of the heart, at his home in Oreana. He was born in Ross county, O., and came to Macon county in 1857 and had resided here ever since. He leaves a wife and seven children, John W., Bennie, Charles, Mrs. James Hockaday, Mrs. L. F. Fuller of Blue Mound, Cemantha Long of Iowa and Miss J. F. Walker. The funeral was held at 1:30 o'clock today from the residence. The interment will be at Greenwood.

Mrs. Harriet Walker died at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home of her son H.B. Walker, 1166 North Broadway. Her death was caused by paralysis with which she was stricken about 8 o'clock Sunday morning. Harriet A. Bunn was born in Ross county, O., Feb 15, 1823. She was the daughter of Harman and Anna Bunn. She was married to Charle L. Walker March 7, 1847. They moved to Macon county in 1858 and settled on a farm half a mile north of Forsyth. They lived there for many years and then sold out to Dr. McBride and moved to a farm in Oakley township where Mr. Walker died eleven years ago. Since then Mrs. Walker spent most of her time in Decatur. She was a member of the Methodist church at Forsyth and was held in high esteem by all. She was the mother of nine children, of whom the following are living, Mrs. James Hockaday, 905 East Cantrel street; John W. Walker, 1205 South Maffit street; H. B. Walker, 1165 North Broadway; Mrs. Ellen Fuller, Blue Mound, Charles E. Walker, Warrensburg; Mrs. Curtis Long of Iowa. The funeral will be held at the home of H. B. Walker, 1165 North Boardway, at 1 o'clock Thursday. The interment will be in Greenwood cemetery.
