Many of BRV's Co I, 133, Ohio Vols was mustered out after contracting "St. James Fever" during the battle of Richmond (1864-1865). Home was in Columbus, Ohio. He finally died May 4, 1877 in Decatur while visiting his sister. He never applied for a pension nor disability. The Widow's Application is in NARA with letters from a doctor, family nurse and members of the unit. But no info as to where they buried him. Spent 2 fruitless days in Dectur in 2006. Thanks for your help.
