Greetings,
My name is Jay Spencer, and Kenneth Cardwell was my fathers cousin. They were from Jonesburg and St. Louis Mo.. Kenneth parents were;
Joseph B Cardwell
April 2 1881 Franklin Co Mo
Oct 6 1942 St Louis Mo
Alice Spencer
Mar 27 1881 St Louis Mo
July 30 1965 St Louis
Both are buried at;
Resurrection Cemetery Section 11 Lot 835,
St Louis Missouri
They had three sons;
Robert
James
Kenneth
1922 St Louis Mo
Apr 1983 Madison County Ill.(info. from SSDI I think)
My fathers recollection;
Alice, my fathers aunt, married the well to do Mr Cardwell and settled in St Louis. They have a good life, and 3 boys.
Robert and James were born 1915-20 and both became fighter pilots and flew P-51 Mustangs in Europe and both were killed during the war.
He never knew them because he lived in Jonesburg Montgomery Co Mo. He just knew that story.
What I'm looking for is descendants of Kenneth, and/or, other Cardwells that tell me more about them, possibly confirm the family story.
Joseph Burnam Cardwell had a brother named Frank C. and they were listed in the 1900 census living in Prairie Twp. Franklin Co Mo with their 81 year old grandmother Susetta / Lucetta Cardwell.
