Hello, I am planning a visit to Marion County IL in the next few weeks. I can not figure out just where to start looking for information on Tonti IL or the address of the Marion county Hisorical society. I think I would start in Salem IL at court houses and libraries. Any information from the area will be most appreciated. My ancestor, Levi M. Bisel lived in Tonti for many years and is 79 years old in the 1900 census. I am looking for cemetery records and land records. Levi's wife was Josina Angle Bisel and they had several children. Thanks, Nancy
