Nothing comes easy at this stage of our research! I have checked the marriage index for William Edward Carlson from 1903 to 1917 and NO LUCK, There were several other Carlsons but no EDWARD or William or any thing that looked like that. Two possibilities--Entered as another name--or obtained license in another county. I could check the local newspaper for 1907, Do you have any idea on the month and day?
