I don't know if this will help you, but I grew up in Marshall County, Il. We had a Roland Moody and wife who were our neighbors in Rural Sparland, Il. Roland had an Aunt named Lillian Moody who lived in Edelstein, Il. She worked for our family and was well loved by all of us. Roland also had a son named Bill who was in my class at school. They were an African American Family. I am sure Bill, the son, would be in his 60's now if he is still living. If you could locate him, he could probably tell you about the Moody's in Marshall County.
