My great grandfather, James Ira Morgan was born in Illinois in 1867. He moved to Kansas and got married to Katherine Lenore Kibbe in Wellington, Kansas in 1890, had three sons and died in 1898. We found him on the Kansas census and it stated he was born in Illinois.
Does anyone have a Morgan family in this County that might have been headed by a James Morgan. My ggrandfather went by his middle name, so we think he may have been named after his father.
