I believe one of my ancestors is Joseph Barnes BACON, died 19 Sep 1858 in McDonough Co (probably Colchester) and buried in the Bean Cemetery. It seems likely that he had property when he died and he had a number of children living in that area but I can't find a will for him in either McDonough or Hancock counties.
Is anyone else researching this line, or do you know of any resources? Thanks for the help.
