McHenry County Illinois Cemeteries, Vol. II page 44 has Elizabeth D. Hollister recorded in Calvary Cemetery; w/o CE Hollister, b. 9/30/1869 d. 10/08/1905. [Note birth year of 1869] A bit of census checking in Mercer County and elsewhere in the state of Illinois provided probable parents for Elizabeth: 1870 New Boston, Mercer County, IL #36 #36 Martin, Bernard age 38 farmer b.p. April 1867 Charlotte Bronson [date correct per LDS site, but disagrees with the Illinois Marriage Index] Bernard d. 1892 Father of Bernard: Andrew Martin I found Charles E. Hollister on the 1900 in Chicago, wife Elizabeth and no children;but her father is shown as having been born in Ireland and her mother in Lousiana; 1910, 1920 and 1930, Charles E. and children in Champaign. I can send the data for these census if you need them. I do believe that Bernard Martin must have been Elizabeth's father, as in 1920 Charles Hollister's son is shown as Bernard Hollister, age 18. This same son is James B. in 1930. He appears to have been named for the fathers of both his parents. Hope this helps, let me know if there is anything else I might do to help with your research. I live in Algonquin, McHenry Co. Regards, Barb Notify Administrator about this message?
