From St. Charles (Illinois) Chronicle, Aug. 22, 1956 William Kniebush, Service Co. Employee For 38 Years, Dies William H. Kniebush, 77, a long time resident of Crystal Lake, died last Wednesday at the home of his son at 211 Illinois St., St. Charles, where he resided the last six years. He was a substation operator for the Public Service Co. for the last 38 years until his retirement in 1946. After his marriage on May 6, 1903 at Crystal Lake to the former Emma Kollenkark, he lived at Woodstock for two years and then at Crystal Lake for 48 years. He was born Feb. 4, 1879 at Woodstock, the son of William and Henrietta Kindt Kniebush. Surviving besides the widow are three children, Mrs. Gus (Margaret) Ekstrom, Crystal Lake, Mrs. Eric (Frances) Richards, Chicago, and the son Erdwill; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Louis, Woodstock. A brother and sister preceded him in death. Services were held at Warner funeral home, Crystal Lake.
