Back in the 60's, I found a harpole couple in Colfax, Illinois. They were Francis and helen Harpole. After Helen's death, Francis married Helen's sister, Lila. Francis and his wife lived outside of town, and later moved into the town of Colfax. They lived in a mobile home on Harrison Street. Francis was on the school board, and was instrumental in getting Octavia Manor Nursing Home established. He was Chairman of the board of the nursing home for a few years. When he lived out of town, his sister Dorris henderson was his nieghbor. Dorris henderson's son farmed, and was a county supervisor. francis Harpole's father was Gillette harpole, and grandfather was Archibald Harpole. francis, and his wife came to Mississippi for our Harpole Reunion for 30 years in a row. I was wondering if anyone knows any of his family still around colfax, or anywhere in Mclean County, or anywhere. I would really appreciate any information.
