Hi Angela, Please take a look at the two postings below regarding two different Smith daughters that also married a Donica. My great grandfather was Randall Gordon Donica, he was born in 1817. My great grandmother was Sarah Smith Donica. She was born in 1831 in Indiana and both of her parents were born in New York. Sarah's mother's first name was Mary. When Randall Donica and Sarah Smith were married in 1848 they were living in Vigo County, Indiana. Interestingly, Benjamin Willoughby was an immediately close neighbor of Donica as was a William Smith. I think further research might show this Benjamin Willoughby as a son of the Benamin Willoughby that was the father of the two Willoughby girls that married both Thomas and James Donica. There were also other Smith's close by. I have never been able to prove Sarah Smith's parents but I had never thought to look at the Smith's in Lawrence County, but I had done a lot of Donica research there. Contact me.
Randle Gordon Donica and Sarah Smith and their family live in McLean County, IL for 1860 and 1870 census
