Lori,
You have probably already Googled New York Foundling, but there is a book that pops up compiled of census records from 1870-1925 regarding this home. (339 pages, 34.95) Also, the home still exists, so you may want to write to them to see if they still have records. It was a home for infants, and the goal was adoption, but they did use Orphan Trains, as did the Childrens Aid Society and the NY JUV ASYLUM. Hope this helps.
