I have a picture of a Shroyer family gathering that MIGHT have been occasioned by the death of Henry Shroyer in 1879 in Mercer County, Illinois. I would love to get in touch with descendants of Henry Shroyer, share the picture, and compare notes. Here's a synopsis of his family:
Henry Shroyer b 1815, Sullivan Co, Indiana
married 1842 in Indiana d 1879 Mercer Co IL.
Wife: Rebecca Hughes, b 1820 Indiana, d 1905 Mercer Co IL
Children:
(1) William Hughs Shroyer, b 1846, death date unknown. He married Johanna Powell in 1869 in Mercer Co IL.
(2) Albert Park Shroyer b 1851 Mercer Co IL, d 1943 Comanche Co OK. He married Donna Ann Meadows in 1875 in Mercer Co IL.
(3) Marian Lafayette Shroyer, b 1856 Mercer Co IL, d 1928 Mercer Co IL. He married Blanche A. Postlewait in 1884 in Mercer Co IL.
(4) Sarah Josie Shroyer, b 1859 Mercer Co IL, d after Sep 1943 at which time she was living in Mercer Co IL. She married Luther E. Whitcomb in 1883 in Knox Co IL.
(5) Martha Isabel Shroyer, b 1863 Mercer Co IL, death date unknown. She married Henry L. Sherburne in 1883 in Mercer Co IL.
