Phyllis,I don't know what mines Charles might have worked in.He listed his occupation as a coal miner on his marriage certificate and he died in Coal Valley in May 20,1894 of acute concumption (which he suffered with for about 13 months).The Register of Deaths says he was buried on the Farm.Were there many coal mines in that area back then and do you know if there would be someone who may have old files on these workers?I hope you can help me.Thank you for answering my post.
