Constance,

Yes, this is the correct family, but wrong generation. The information you gave me was for the father (Herbert Sr.) and grandfather (Frederick) of Herbert Deane Hoyt (Jr.).

1) Frederick Hoyt m. Lillian Deane
2) Herbert D. Hoyt Sr. m. (possible 1st wife--unknown name) 2nd wife - Gertrude Downes.
3) Herbert D. Hoyt Jr. (1921-1982) m. Virginia Senchia, Nov. 17, 1945, in Chicago, IL. I have the newspaper notice. It says the ceremony was held at Bond Memorial Chapel, Chicago. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael E. Senchia of East Chicago. As for the names of Herbert's parents, it only says "the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Deane Hoyt of Manchester, Massachusetts."

Herbert D. Hoyt (Jr.) was Herbert's son with unknown first wife. I need Herbert D. Hoyt Jr.'s marriage record
to Virginia Senchia to hopefully see where he was born in Massachusetts (what town or city) and what his mother's name was. His death record from California does not provide this information. I could not find an obituary for him, only a funeral notice, which did not provide any family information.

I have reason to believe Herbert Jr. may not have been the son of Gertrude but would like to be able to prove or disprove this.

Thanks!
