I'm not related, just trying to help.

You made an error on your John Boomer's birth year. He was born about 1825 in Baden/Prussia/Germany depending on the census you look at.

In 1850 I believe that he was in Madison Co, IL. There's a 25 year old John Bomar from Germany living with a Tate family. I don't see any other close matches in other counties. In 1860 Jersey Co your John Boomer's name is given as John Bomer.

I wonder if the following could be his marriage record. The last name Bohne is obviously wrong but it's the closest I can find for the spouse of a Mary Delaney in Illinois. And it is in Madison Co . A close look at the original record may clear this up.

Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763–1900
BOHNE, JOHN
DELANEY, MARY MRS
1854-09-12 BK 6 Page 122 LICENSE# 908
MADISON CO

I think that this is the first marriage for the Mary above. In the 1850 census she was 23 and born in Switzerland.

DELANY, THOMAS
WEINER, MARY M
