By way of correction.... the 1900 federal census says he immigrated in 1875, not 1873. Also, the 1910 census says 1876. Mary was first born, but was born 12 July 1880 (the census being inexact on that point).

Thanks for the idea on the genealogical society in the area. As I posted in response to another post, there is a Bohemian Cemetery in Braidwood, which is very close to where he lived and where he was buried.

Actually, looking at the map again, Coal City, Garnder, Braceville, Braidwood, and Custer Park are all very close together. (Coal City Gen. Soc. was your idea. He is buried in the Gardner-Braceville Cemetery. The Bohemian Cemetery is in Braidwood, he lived in Custer Park). That is a really good idea, thanks!
