Jack: I called an old friend in Mattoon and inquired about any relatives of Bob and Dorothy Bell and their daughter Barbara. She told me that Barbara's aunt and uncle had recently moved from Mattoon to live with a son but she didn't know where. I "googled" his name and came up with an address from telephone directories, one in Mattoon and one in Pocohantas. The Mattoon address I'm almost sure is where Bob and Dorothy lived -- 1416 S. 16th Street. Not sure whether the aunt was Dorothy's sister or Bob's, but she may have some info about Barbara.
Their name is Doll, Vernon G. and Hope, RR#2, Pocohantas, IL 62275, phone 618 669-2542. It might be advisable for you to write them first so they won't feel uneasy and then possibly have a phone conversation later.
