James O. Masters

James O. Masters, 80 Brownsville, Fayette County, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, following a short illness. He was Born Nov. 9, 1924, at Cameron, W.Va. He was a retired employee of Union Carbide Corp., Metals Division, Alloy, a former employee of the Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, W.Va., and a former member of the Gauley Bridge Fire Department. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora Ray and Goldie Mae Thompson Masters; and brother, Joseph A. Masters.

He is survived by special friend, Edith Totten of Gauley Bridge; daughter, Delores Masters of Gauley Bridge; son, David Masters of Gauley Bridge; brothers, George Masters and Homer Masters, both of Fayetteville, W.Va.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at Pennington Funeral Home Chapel, Gauley Bridge, with the Rev. Dennis Preast officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel.


If Goldie has a SS #, you could order her SS application which has her parents names on it and where she was employed at the time she applied. This costs about $27.00 when the SS number is known.
