I am looking for info on a John Orsborn born in Ireland ca 1767-8 the oldest son John James & Jane Orsborn. The family came to the US ca 1797-8. The family settled in Cabin Creek, Mason Co., KY. Shortly Lewis Co. was created by spilting Mason Co. John grew up in Lewis Co. & in 1811 married Sally Shephard(my data says they had 13 children). Sometime in the 1830's the family moved to Vermilion Co. IL. All of his five siblings followed him including my Gt2 grandfather James Orsborn. My Gt2 grandfather later moved to Jefferson Co. IA(1840).
John $ Sally are buried in Newell Twn. in Vermilion Co. IL.
Note your family may be using the surname Osborn, Osborne or other spellings. One more point the surname in Ireland may have been Ausburn & for some reason changed to Orsborn which is English. Thank you-Harmon
