At Decatur, Ill., Sunday night, William Amman and Effie Bainter, who were engaged to be married, quarreled while out walking over the fact that Amman had tired of his love. Stepping back the young woman drew a revolver and fired, the bullet inflicting a scalp wound. Amman snatched the revolver and shot the girl in the back. She will probably die.
