As a follow-up to my previous posting, here is a bit more: This may be the John K. Milne who ended up in Chicago: 1861 England Census, Town of Enfield, Civil Parish of Enfield, Middlesex County, England John K. Milne, age 14, born Marleybone, Middlesex, England, scholar (Old Palace School) Here is something more on John Milne's son: World War I Draft Registration, Cook County, IL Sept 12, 1918 Thomas Drury Milne, born April 22, 1880, residence 4235 No. Roby Street, Chicago, train master for Northwestern Elevated Railroad (1036 Montrolse Ave, Chicago), nearest relative Ollie Mae Milne, 4235 No. Roby Street. I haven't been able to find an immigration record for either John or George Milne, though the records indicate George was in the US by May 14, 1865 (when he married) and John immigrated ca 1875-1876. I found 2 George Milnes in the 1851 England Census. One is the George you mentioned as being from Little Munden. The other was a George Milne, age 3, born in Kennington and living as Civil Parish St Marleybone, Ecclesiastical Parish All Souls, Middlesex County. He is the only dependant in the household of: Alexander Milne, age 29, a tailor assistant born at St. George, Middlesex and Eliza Milne, his wife, age 27, born at St Martins, Middlesex.
