If Hiram Cape who died in Union county was 70 years old when he died, then he could not have been born in 1825/26/27?
Were there two Hiram Cape(s) , Cope born around 1825? One in KY or one in TN?

This Cape family is the most elusive bunch yet.

And I am related somehow. The only one of my grandmother's brothers who actually can be traced is Hiram who died in 1938 at the Mendocino State Hospital in California. I wonder now if he was really "crazy" or just smart enough to find a place to live. After all, being born in 1878, he probably was tired by 1921 and figured he would get a jump on those looking for a place to stay when the Depression hit.
