I cannot find Harry in 1900; there is a family tree on ancestry.com that appears to be well researched; at least the census match the ones I found. It states:
Harry Davis b. 15 Sep 1817 Milton Chittenden Co. Vermont
died 24 SEp 1885 Sangamon Co. IL
bur: Sep 1885 Pawnee, Christian Co. IL.(I believe the Christian co. had been part of Sangamon??)
Zerilda Jane Cowan b. 22 Apr 1827, Jerseyville IL
died 30 Jan 1904 Christian Co., Pawnee
d/o Matthew & Elizabeth Huitt Cowan.
Zerelda and Harry were married at her fathers house by Elder Dodson on 9 Jan 1846, Jersey Co., IL.
children of Harry & Zerelda Cowan Davis are:

Josephine Elida b. 20 Aug 1849 Jersey Co.
