Hi Amanda, I had another thought after I wrote my last message: ca 1882 Illinois began asking for additional information for marriages, where previously they only had names of parties getting married and a consent if someone was under age. They used new forms in most counties which asked ages of bride and groom, birthplaces, residence of each, parents' names and their birthplaces, etc. I would advise ordering the marriage of Francis Hoffman/Coffman from Montgomery County in 1895. The mother of Elizabeth Katherine Hofacker should be shown on there. Also, maybe order those other Hofacker/Hofaker, etc. marriages from the same area, because you will find out if they are siblings of Elizabeth. At the Illinois State Archives site, I found a Francis G. Hoffman who died in Jacksonville, Morgan County, IL on 1-2-1932. There are a ton of Frank Hoffmans in the index, so I just noted this one. Wonder if he came back from Texas; his father did. Do you have access to Ancestry and the census? I could look up those Hofackers for you if you need them.
