The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa

JENNIE R. LUTZ was born in Indiana County, Penn., in 1846. Died at her home
in Cedar Township, Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1907, after a lingering illness of
several months. She moved with her parents to Ogle County, Ill., in the
year 1865. She was married to JOSEPH SANBORN Dec. 5, 1867, and moved to
Lucas County, Iowa, in 1868, where they have resided ever since.
She united with the M.E. Church at Russell, Iowa. Though her death has been
expected sooner or later it comes as a sad blow to the community. She
leaves a husband and four brothers to mourn the loss of a loving companion
and sister. The funeral services were held at Bethel Chapel on Thursday
afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Sheanton, Pastor of the M.E. Church at Russell,
officiating, and the remains interred in the Bethel Cemetery. She had lived
an exemplary Christian life for over forty years. In sickness she was
always present to lend a helping hand, and always helped those that were
needy and friendless. Striving each day to live the Gospel of Christ she
has rounded out a complete life, "Fought a good fight."
