Herbert and Young families in Ogle Co

I was wondering if anyone has any information on a connection between the John C. Herbert and William Young families of Ogle County in the 1850s. They apparently lived a couple houses from each other, and may have moved from Maryland to Illinois together in the 1840s. If anyone has any information to back this claim up, please let me know. Thanks!
