Hi all!
I am trying to track my great grandmother who may have been born in Mulkeytown (Franklin Co.) in either 1881 or 1882. Her name, according to my father (her grandson) was Elsie (listed as Elsia in the 1930 census) Brumel (not sure of that spelling). She was reportedly also Native American. I am trying to find out for sure what her maiden name was and her parents' names. She married Elsworth Johnson and they lived in Perry County (Du Quoin) and died there in 1974. Their first two children were born in Franklin County, but the rest were born in Perry Co.(they had 5 children: Rollie, Lyle b.1912, Eugene b.1921, Myra b. 1922 and Rosaler b. 1930) If anyone has any info, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks so much!
