Hughey family in Perry County, Illinois Census data

Sadie Hughey is, of course, the daughter of Allen T. and Sarah Hughey. Her real name was Sarah Ellen and she was 28 at the time of the 1900 Perry County, Illinois Census.

I'm not too sure who J. W. Hughey, physician, on the 1870 census is; he is of the right age to be Isaac Newton Hughey (b. 1840, Kentucky), one of Dr. Christopher's nephews. He moved to Illinois in part to teach his two nephews (his eldest brother's children)--William Allen Hughey and Isaac Newton Hughey. Both became U.S. Army surgeons in the Civil War.

The only J. W. Hughey I have is John Wesley Hughey (b. 1830 in Virginia). He was Dr. C. M. Hughey's double 1st cousin (his uncle James married his mom's sister). I don't have any record of his being in Illinois though.

Allen Hughey and Sarah Marie Waggoner had the following children:
John Robert, son, b. 1812
Mary Ann, daughter, b. 1815
Lewraney (or Lurana), daughter, b. 1817
Milly Ann, daughter, b. 1818
Allen Thomas, son, b. 1821
Daniel Waggoner, son, b. 1823
Elizabeth Charlotte, daughter, b. 1824
Dr. Christopher Martin, son, b. 1826; C. M. Hughey was the youngest. Sarah Marie Hughey was 40 when Christopher was born.

My best guess at the moment that "J.W." Hughey was "I.N." Hughey (i.e, Dr. Isaac Newton Hughey)...
