I am researching the family of Isaac B. Brown b. 1811 in Sumner Co., TN and his wife Malinda b. 1818 Illinois.

From my notes on the family:

Montgomery Co. in 1867 and was buried in the Rosamond Cemetery. He was buried by A. Willard - the author of his obit. from Oconee, ILL.

Information from Brown family bible 1839 in Illinois.
1840 - in Randolph Co., ILL
1850 - in Randolph Co., ILL
1860 - in Randolph Co, ILL census-Isaac was listed as 50 and a Merchant b. in Tennessee.

In the 1835-1872 records there, Isaac ran for Justice of Peace.

He lived in the town called Steelmill.

1860 census of Randolph Co., Ill
Isaac Brown M 50 merchant b. Tn.
Malinda F 40 Ill
Virginia F 22 Ill
James M 20 Ill
William M 17 Ill
Elizabeth F 14 Ill
Isaac M 10 Ill
Charles M 5 Ill
Preston M 39 merchant Tn.

Preston Brown is apparently related - maybe a brother or cousin?
--------------------------
Apparently, most of them lived in Rosamond, Illinois, which is South of Kenmundy. Mary Elizabeth married David McClure in 1868 in Chester, ILL and died in Perry County 1905.
===================================================
If anyone can shed some light on this family, I would appreciate it.

Thanks
Freddy Brown
